The writters of the world war two from indonesia

In 1956 a young journalist as chief editor of the star weekly who was written series articles about world war two (1939-1945), who are given the title "pacific war"(1939-1945). In this work was assisted by two new economic scholars graduated from the faculty of economics, university of indonesia (F.J.E Tan and Tan Hong Gie). They are peoples with erudition (Broad knowledge) is very high as many scholars at that time. This can be seen from the composition containing the pacific war comparisons with greek/roman ancient history, holy books, and other books. Next Mr. Auwjong Peng Koen (P.K Ojong) who started his career as a teacher of law school graduates "Universiteit van Indonesie, through colloqium doctum (test for those who are not from HBS), at-will later become the founder of the compass and gramedia.  Fritz Tan  obtain PhD degree in economics and he's teaching at some university in the united states now. Tan Hong Gie (Siswadi) graduated from the uneversity of indonesia (UI) as a archaeologist, and he's dead now.

Indonesia was under japanese occupation (March 1942-August 1945) only read and heard about great victory and kept the japanese side, whereas, the war has turned toward and began to benefit from the U.S Naval Battle of midway (1942). This means that the peoples of indonesia during the japanese occupation and during the revolution, most busy with them attention to past war. World war two, including pacific war was a dark period that lasted, maybe to 1950 or more. Pacific war is the most important events in our lives. How not, because these events hava relevance to the independence of indonesia.

Pearl harbor (Hawai) events is "shocked theraphy" which is needed to encourage the american peoples fought in the war.  Since then, there is a debate to be where the involvement of  "Roosevelt" in the "shock therapy" is.

Likewise, the diplomatic historian J. Crowley, trying to prove that japan was forced and in-provocation to war with allies, and not the japanese who conducted aggression against ally.  War history are different with diplomatic and politic history. Until now there is no historian who denies the japanese blow against U.S forces in the pearl harbor.

Pacific war is often discussed as a "forgotten war". The war in korea and vietnam  are very concerned compares with the pacific war, such as the history generals and so forth. an example as a general Douglas MacArthur and his war strategy to retake  philipines because he promised "I shall return" when he left the islands.

Indeed, the history of the war seem far simpler than political or diplomatic history. However, the history of the war will attract and get the attention of many people, if was delivered in interesting way.
